A two-image blend captured on the Lava Falls trail at the El Malpais National Monument in NM. Right image is an HDR composite captured at sunset, and the left image depicting the Milky Way over the lava flows was taken two hours later from the same location without moving the camera.

Two and a Billion Suns
A blend of sunset and the night sky over a beautiful canyon northwest of Albuquerque, NM. The Milky Way core appears prominently to the right of the light emanating from Albuquerque, which illuminates the clouds above the city.
Print size suggestions: photo is a 2:1 aspect ratio, so any print size in this aspect ratio would work great (5x10, 10x20, 12x24, 20x40, 30x60). A day-to-night, two-image blend taken from atop Mt. Taylor (New Mexico) at La Mosca Lookout, located at over 11,000 feet elevation. The sunset image is comprised of a 6-panel, 42-exposure HDR panoramic mosaic captured at 6:45pm local time, and the night image is comprised of a 6-panel, 24-exposure stacked panoramic mosaic captured at 8:30pm. Both sets of images were captured from the same camera location.

While the Cranes Slept
A time-blended, vertical panorama of a prolific Geminids meteor light display in the skies over the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico. Meanwhile, a flock of cranes awakens to the early morning light, gleefully oblivious to the chaotic astronomical display that concluded just an hour earlier. The cranes are flanked by the constellation Orion and the Pleiades, while the winter Milky Way is draped overhead.
